The Roadmap for ESG Integration is a strategic guidance document designed to assist VET providers in embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into their curricula. Recognising that ESG principles permeate all business operations and strategies, the roadmap ensures that vocational training in business management integrates ESG elements, even when the primary focus of a course is different.
This roadmap provides strategies, tools, and approaches for effective ESG integration, shifting the perspective from a mere compliance exercise to an ongoing business process. Developed through an analysis of ESG standards, including SDGs and GIR, and informed by competency frameworks such as GreenComp and EntreComp, the roadmap supports VET educators in aligning training content with sustainability goals.
The roadmap’s development follows a collaborative process, incorporating feedback from the project’s Advisory Panel, consisting of stakeholder organisations. Regular review cycles ensure the document remains relevant and adaptable across different national and industry contexts.
By guiding VET providers in embedding ESG considerations, the roadmap enhances sustainability education, fosters responsible business practices, and aligns vocational training with current market demands and regulatory frameworks.
